What is a survival job?

As you probably know by now finding any job in this economy is going to be very difficult, especially if you are over fifty. Ideally you would prefer not to take a huge pay cut but you are realistic, and you would like to work in a field that you are accustomed to. But you haven’t found anything that even remotely meets those criteria; in fact you haven’t found anything.


You have reached the point of just wanting a job, a survival job.

Bills still have to be paid and you still have to eat so swallow your pride and take any job that you can find. You have to keep in mind that nothing is forever and at least you will have some money coming in. sure you may not like what you are doing but you need something to hold you over till something else comes along. Who knows this job may lead to something else within the company.

Also consider that most companies offer some kind of healthcare which is certainly a plus when considering a survival job. It might not be the healthcare that you are used to but it is something.

I know it is difficult but you have to survive even if it means taking a survival job.
